Dr. Anido has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and on our Board of Directors since December 2001. From June 2000 to September 2001, Dr. Anido was general partner for Windamere Venture Partners. From 1996 to 1999, Dr. Anido served as President and Chief Executive Officer of CombiChem, Inc., a private biotechnology company. From 1993 to 1996, he served as President of the Americas Region of Allergan, Inc., a public specialty pharmaceutical company focusing on ophthalmology, dermatology and neuromuscular indications, which we refer to as Allergan. Dr. Anido received a B.S. in Pharmacy from West Virginia University and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Missouri. In the past five years, Dr. Anido has served as a member of the board of directors of Apria Healthcare, Inc., a public company. Dr. Anido brings to our Board of Directors extensive experience in the areas of sales and marketing, business development, equity and debt transactions and fund raising.
